BinDocks and PlantLocks at Ecobuild

The Front Yard Company shared a stand at EcoBuild 2017 with our sister company Green Roof Shelters Ltd. Green Roof Shelters make richly biodiverse living roofs and innovative habitat cladding a key part of their small to medium scale buildings. It was great to see the range of designs, from both companies, contributing a big splash of green to the show. 

We had some lovely feedback and conversations with a wide range of visitors. From those interested in PlantLock and BinDock for their garden; community projects wanting to know more about funding opportunities we can help with; as well as businesses enthusiastic at the potential for cycle parking, bin stores and trolley shelters with a real ecological heart!

Best Small Bike Retailer 2014

Because so many bike shops have PlantLocks blooming outside them, PlantLock & Green Roof Bike Shelters are happily sponsoring the London Cycling Campaign's 2014 Award for Best Small Bike Retailer.

Right to Work

Since many projects involving people with learning difficulties feature gardening and horticulture, we've always believed there was a link between PlantLocks and the training opportunities of planting and maintenance, that can also bring the organisations at least a small revenue stream.

South Downs National Park have ordered 40 PlantLocks for a variety of locations, as somewhere to lock your bike when in the café or shop.

These are being planted by members of the The Right to Work group (pictured) providing both paid and supported voluntary work for people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Royal College Street planters #2

Congratulations to everyone at London Borough of Camden for winning the 'Achievements in Cycling' award at the London Transport Awards 2014.

The 'light segregation' scheme gives 2m cycle lanes in both directions and uses Front Yard Company planters as the major component in this separation.

Congratulations to Brixton Cycles for winning ‘Best Small Bike Retailer 2014’ at the London Cycling Campaign’s Awards on Wednesday night.

To us they’re a stalwart of the London cycling scene, and significantly to us, still a co-operative.
